About Us

Find a Church is a product of UK Church Directory Ltd. It is the original and largest online directory featuring Christian churches across the United Kingdom. We feature more churches, have more accurate data and more people use this site to search for churches than in any other church directory.

We exist to help people find churches. Our aim is that by being listed in this directory churches will grow and the people who find the churches will be blessed.

Your church can get a free basic entry or pay a small fee for a comprehensive page listing. Before adding a church please check if your church is already listed. If it is, you can simply try logging in using your email address and phone number - just try a password reset here . If you log in and can see your church that's great, but if you need help updating your church please contact us (we are here to help). If your church is not listed then you can add your church here.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I have a website. Does that replace the directory listing?
No. The directory listing will complement your church website and help drive very relevant visitors to it. We recommend, whenever possible, all churches get their own website. People in your church will hopefully know your website address, but many others will not know the name of your church or your web address and will search in the directory by town or postcode. It's a great way to be found.
  2. How many people use the directories?
Lots and lots! The directory regularly has over 9 million listing views per year. Real people are searching for churches in your area by town or postcode.
  3. What's the difference between a basic and full entry?
A basic listing currently just shows the church's contact address and telephone number. A full entry has loads of useful information including: a map, church image, full venue details, service times, activities, contact details including web address, etc. It is also prioritised to the top section of the results so will be found by many more people.
  4. £22 per annum, why should we pay for the full listing?
A full listing will help your church grow. If just one person ever joins your church because of the listing and starts giving then it will easily pay for itself many times over. If someone starts a relationship with God then it's priceless. It's all covered by our simple ministry money-back guarantee. If it doesn't help your church grow then let us know and we'll refund the £22. There's absolutely no risk to your church and plenty to gain.
  5. I like the sound of free so will stick on the basic listing. Is that OK?
100% yes. We want to serve your church well and if that's all you want then that's perfectly acceptable. There's no pressure from us for you to have a full listing. Some churches are actually better off with a basic listing. Churches that obviously fall into this category would be ones that are
    1. full and don't currently have capacity for new joiners
    2. currently unable to be outward focussed (this may be for ministerial reasons)
    3. only able to have irregular services
    4. in the process of winding down
  6. Who can get listed?
The UK Church Directory contains listings of over 45,000 churches from all Christian denominations. We list churches of all sizes from new house churches to cathedrals and mega-churches. We do not list individual ministries or organisations, only churches. The church must agree that they are a Christian church and Trinitarian.
  7. Can we get a website for our church through you?
No. But our sister ministry, www.church123.com would love to help you. They have a free trial you can use to see how easy it is to build your own site.
  8. Can you provide church member management features?
No. But our sister ministry, www.churchbox.co.uk, specialise in helping churches with their administration. They have a totally free church address book which you are welcome to take advantage of. If you need more they provide rotas, comms, event and group management.
